GIAN MARCO PEZZOLI

Director and Actor, Gian Marco Pezzoli, born in 1992, from Imola, attended acting and directing courses with Enzo Vetrano and Stefano Randisi, with Matteo Belli, with Mario Grossi at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome in 2014.

Since 2011 he has dedicated himself to directing short films that have received recognition for their artistic value. Between 2011 and 2013 he directed Labbra di riso, first prize in the “48H remake” competition, and Vox Populi, selected at the Taglia-corti film festival in Trieste, at the La lanterna film festival in Genoa and at the “All-in! Call to the Arts” in Rome.

In 2015 he directed Prima del Buio, produced by Articolture starring the cinema and theater actors Stefano Randisi and Enzo Vetrano.

In 2018 he directed Mon Clochard produced by Articolture with Manufactory Productions, Combo and Noi Giovani; starring Roberto Citran and Giovanni Calcagno. The short film received various awards at festivals including: Best short film at the River film festival in Padua, Best short film at IL short film festival in London, Italian Best Shorts at RIFF, Best leading actor for Roberto Citran at the Sardinia film festival, Fiaticorti and In…corto.

In 2021, he shot the short film Miya and Jin, currently submitted in festivals, starring Maya Murofushi and Yoon Joyce.
